Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her role in the movies Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! She first began her career as an actress during the 80s. Her fame was boosted by the movie Tezaab with an established actor Anil Kooor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil alongside Aamir. Her birthplace was in the Mumbai middle class family and began dancing at a young age. When she was young began acting, but struggled as many of her movies were unsuccessful. Then, she discovered success with Indian cinema and rose to the top. Her marriage led to a hiatus from her acting career. The actress returned in later years. Dixit played an important role in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. The award was also given to her for her work in the field of social work.
